The Continental Express
This model began as a Pocher Rolls-Royce "Torpedo" kit. We start by lowering the body on the chassis to align the louvers
on the hood with those on the cowl or scuttle sides. On this model, the customer wanted a more accurate replica of a Continental
specification Phantom II. Continental Rolls-Royces varied, but most did not have side-mounted spare wheels, so on this model we
installed a single rear-mounted spare wheel. This required a mounting system that allows the spare wheel to pivot downward, allowing
access to the tailgated trunk area. In addition to working brakes and headlights, this model features pedal-activated brake lights,
lighted instruments, myrtle-burl woodwork, an articulated rear windshield, metal framed working side windows, pivoting windshield,
working engine control levers, and a fully detailed trunk compartment. If you are tired of looking at an orange and gray Pocher torpedo,
let us transform your model into a miniature automobile that you will be proud to display.
